The day shape
Brokerage is two jobs. Sales makes the money. Operations eats the day. There isn't time to do both well, and the half that loses is sales.
A dozen open threads, all live
Everything's live. All day.
Load tenders. Inbound carriers. Customer updates. Driver issues. Compliance flags. Detention disputes. Every one is live, every one needs an answer, every one is happening right now.
Nothing finishes before the next thing hits
Three things on hold so I can put out the fourth.
A POD chase gets interrupted by a customer call. The call gets interrupted by a carrier issue. The carrier issue gets interrupted by a claim. By the time the day ends, half a dozen things are still half-done.
The work that actually grows the book
I haven't called a real customer in a week.
The day fills up with operational work. The sales calls slip. The customer relationships slip. The book stays roughly where it was. Activity is not growth, and a full day is not a productive one.
Your top three brokers each lose roughly 18 hours a week to ops work. Per quarter, that is the activity that did not grow the book.
Two jobs. One software that does the operations job.
Brokerage has always been two jobs.
Loads built. Carriers vetted. Invoices sent. Your broker is closing the next customer.
The broker is the conductor. The software is the orchestra.
The load story
Load VK-4821 from Chicago to Dallas. Seven beats. One continuous workflow from customer order through final reconciliation. Each handoff keeps its context. The team works customers, margins, and exceptions instead of re-entering the load.
Built by people who've run a brokerage. Designed for the team running one now.
Drop the document in. AI builds the structured load in under 15 seconds.
One wizard. Every public load board and your own private network, live at once.
Offers arrive through AI calls, email, and magic links. Compare rate, fit, history, and compliance without leaving the load.
One click. The ratecon is generated, sent, and signed. The other boards posted-down.
Vektor watches routine status and drafts updates in the background. The broker steps in for the exceptions that need judgement.
Driver completes delivery in the app. The system closes itself.
AI proposes the match and flags inconsistencies with evidence. You validate in one screen. AP and AR move together.
One load. Seven beats. One continuous workflow.
The same workflow handles the bad days: detention disputes, fall-offs, claims.
Each step has the same shape. Read the canvas, click the action, move on. Average time to first-load-shipped-solo is day 4.
The platform
Five operational surfaces, built to talk to each other. From load building through the coverage lobby to reconciliation, every tool consumes the same load record and the same carrier record.
Drop a rate confirmation in any format. EDI, email, PDF, or image. Vektor's AI builds the structured load record in under 15 seconds. AI-first means the architecture, not a feature bolted onto an older codebase.
See AI load buildingPost to every channel. Receive structured inbound. Vet FMCSA, insurance, CSA, and your own lane history inline. Accept, counter, or pass in one click. The hardest 90 seconds of broker work, on one screen.
See the Coverage LobbyEvery carrier in the country with live compliance data, onboarding paperwork, and your own lane history in one view. Three weights: verified, watch, blocked.
Explore the carrier networkVektor Driver, Samsara, Motive, Project44, and more. Consume the seam the carrier already runs. Add intelligence on top.
See live trackingCarrier bills verified against the ratecon and POD. Approved payables flow into customer invoices on your letterhead. AP and AR reconciled in one workflow.

Billing, payables, and funding.
And 70+ more. Public API and webhooks for everything else.
No rip-and-replace. Vektor consumes the seam.
API ConnectNew
API Connect works in two stages. First a free connection we build on our side. Then coverage, when a load needs a truck.
See how API Connect worksMigration
We lead the migration on our side. Your team keeps running. Billing cycles close inside Vektor by day 14. Most cohorts go full-volume by day 30.
Tenant provisioned. Load boards wired. ELD seam consumed. Customer/carrier records imported from your TMS export. Tax, factoring, AR/AP routing tuned.
First lanes shipping on Vektor. Billing cycles closing in Vektor by day 14. Old TMS still up for reference.
Rate-card tuning, agent permissions, exception thresholds, customer-notification cadence. Logistics engineer in your Slack daily.
All lanes on Vektor. Legacy TMS goes read-only. Reconciliation back-fill complete. We move on, your team owns the system.
Every quarter you delay is roughly 130 hours per broker not spent on sales.

Pricing
You're already paying it. The bill goes up the month you hire a broker, before they cover a single load.
Add a coordinator. You pay for them whether they generate revenue or not. The math gets worse the more you scale, which is exactly backwards. The brokerages investing in growth pay the heaviest software tax.
Vektor charges per load moved. We make money when you make money. The software is aligned with the only thing that matters: are loads getting moved.
Bring your monthly load volume. We will map the workflow and quote it to the operation.
A tax on growth, replaced by a share of margin you actually save.
Questions
Fair. McLeod has earned that 15 years. The question isn't whether McLeod is bad. It's whether the gap between what McLeod was designed to do and what your brokers' day actually requires has gotten wide enough to pay the migration cost.
Most brokerages are off McLeod and running on Vektor in 30 to 45 days. Week 1 is setup and integrations. Week 2 starts live operations on a subset of lanes, with billing cycles closing inside Vektor by day 14. Weeks 3 and 4 are tuning and scaling to full volume. We lead the migration on our side.
Every quarter you delay is roughly 130 hours per broker not spent on sales.
Per-load pricing scales with volume. Brokerages on Vektor typically pay 1 to 3% of per-load margin in software cost. The specific number depends on your monthly volume, equipment mix, and integration set. A 20-minute call gets you the exact figure.
McLeod added AI features to a 1995 architecture. Turvo and Tai are newer but built on the same premise as McLeod: the broker does the work, the TMS helps. Vektor is built on the inverse premise: the software does the operations, the broker does the relationships. The architecture is the difference; the AI is the consequence.
Logistics engineers on Slack and a phone hotline during business hours. After-hours pager rotation for production incidents. Most issues are resolved before the dispatcher notices. Specific SLAs in the call; default is 4-hour business-hours response, 1-hour for production-impact tickets.
Your data is yours. We provide an export of all load history, carrier records, customer records, financial transactions, and document attachments in standard formats (CSV, JSON, PDF) on request, with no fee. The export takes 5 to 10 business days for full-history pulls. No lock-in.
Yes. All three public boards are native integrations, plus the Vektor Loadboard for your private network of lane-history carriers. You post and pull loads from Vektor without switching platforms. The aggregator pattern brokers have wanted for years is built in.
Yes. Permissioning is configured per user and per team. Agent commissions, W-2 broker compensation, and rate-category controls are first-class concepts. Team isolation gets configured during setup.
Compliance checks run on every MC the moment it's entered: FMCSA authority, insurance currency, safety rating, and double-broker detection. Highway and Carrier Assure integrations add fraud signals at the carrier-selection layer. Claims workflow is built in: stolen-load incident reports, damaged-cargo documentation, customer claims tracking, and carrier liability records. The bad days don't escape the system.
Week 1 setup. Week 2 live on first lanes. Weeks 3 and 4 tune and scale.
Not a sales rep. A logistics engineer who's run a brokerage and built the product. We map a real lane in the call.
